The Pitch (May 29 – June 4)
Avengers and While We’re Young make it to The Civic in Kootenay time.
Both previously scheduled but delayed films, Joss Whedon’s Avengers: Age of Ultron and Noah Baumbach’s, While We’re Young, make their Civic debuts this week at the Civic.
Also livening up the Civic screen, or more accurately, the stage, is a couple of musical acts to really round out the weeks offerings. On the Road Management presents Great Lake Swimmers, a melodic folk rock band based out of Toronto. Check out a video here. The second musical act is Nelson’s own Corazón choir, who will perform a couple songs before presenting The Singing Revolution, an inspirational documentary about the non-violent Estonian uprising through music against their soviet oppressors. The proceeds from the event go to support The Pura Vida Foundation. More info here.
Coming Soon: Tomorrowland, Big Lebowski and Ex Machina
