Changes to the Intended Schedule for Aug 1 – 7

Good day supporters of the Civic Theatre.

Our good friends over at Universal have decided that they aren’t quite ready to allow a split of Despicable Me 2 for the third week in a row.  Our options: split The Conjuring with something else or to run Despicable Me 2 on its own.

My mission to bring as much content to the screen to as many demographics as I can each week, usually includes 2 main features and a Thursday Night independent/art house selection. This week had promised to be a strong sampling from a great family film to a critically lauded horror film to an excellent adaptation of Shakespeare from Joss Whedon.  Oh well…Breathe… Let it go.

We definitely don’t want to leave the families wanting for a fourth week so here it is; Despicable Me 2 will show on its own this Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday at 7pm with a 1pm matinee on Sunday.  The screening time for Much Ado About Nothing remains unchanged – Thursday Aug. 01 at 7:30

Sorry to all the horror fans out there.  We will be splitting The Conjuring with Red 2 staring Aug. 09 with Frances Ha as our Thursday show on August 8th.
