On Friday to Sunday and Cheap Tuesday A New York socialite (Cate Blanchet), deeply troubled and in denial, arrives in San Francisco to impose upon her sister. She looks a million, but isn’t bringing money, peace, or love… in Woody Allen’s latest Blue Jasmine (rated PG). In a New York very different than Woody Allen’s, it’s hard enough to fit in as a regular teen, but imagine you were like Clary Fray (Lily Collins), who discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons.  Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, (rated PG) based on the worldwide best-selling book series, is filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other deadly creatures.

On Sept. 18th check out the premiere of the 40 minute LVR student-made, North and South: The Documentary that captures the 2013 exchange between LVR and Chief Julius School in Fort McPherson, Northwest Territories. Discussion with students to follow the film. An added attraction is stories and photos of LVR student Micah May’s 2013 summer expedition to the Arctic with Students on Ice.
