The totals are in and, wow, did we meet the mark and then some!

Our Concession Campaign, to raise the last $15,000 needed for the concession upgrade was a huge success! Thank you to all of you who donated, sponsored seats, and, of course, watched movies and purchased treats!

Earlier this week we also learned we were successful in being awarded a $50,000.00 grant from BC Creative Spaces! Combined with the Concession Campaign funds we soared past our goal to raise the remainder required to release our SIDIT grant!

We now have the funds to move forward with our Concession Upgrade. With the busy summer coming, we are planning the upgrade for early fall. We’ll need to close for a week or so and there are just too many great movies to show first!

But the really COOL news…. ready for it?….. ready???

Air Conditioning!!

We’ve been keeping our plans a secret until we knew for sure.  Thanks to these extra funds, we are moving forward with installing the first air conditioning unit the Civic Theatre has ever seen!! Yes! We expect to have it installed before the really hot weather starts… remember how hot it was in there last summer?

So what a week! As promised, your theatre just gets better and better! It wouldn’t be possible without your support and patronage. Thanks for visiting, and please remember to renew your membership if it expires in the coming months. Our magnificent membership numbers (we’re at about 2800!) are a big part of our success with those grants.
