What’s up at the Civic (May 23 – June 5)
X is for X-Men, it’s good enough for me, but if it isn’t for you then maybe we can tempt you with Bryan Cranston, everyone’s favorite meth cook Walter White, staring in another remake, that corrects the catastrophic effort made in 1998, of the cult classic Japanese Kaiju film Godzilla. $93 Million in its opening weekend it is destroying the box office literally. And if neither mutant superhero nor iguana meet your fancy, how about the combination of indi film – god Jim Jarmusch (Down By Law, Dead Man, Ghost Dog) and Vampires? It has been said of Jarmusch’s latest, Only Lovers Left Alive, that they can stop making vampire films now, because Jim Jarmusch has made the ultimate one..
Charles Xavier will send out a telepathic reminder of the dates and times, but if I were you I would add them to my palm pilot all the same.
Oh, one last thing, before you decide to take the drive to our neighbors, be aware of our soon to be future past plans of bringing in Seth Rogan in Neighbors split with Donald Draper in Million Dollar Arm the following week, June 13 – 17
Cheers,
Jason.
