Elbow Grease 1, Popcorn Grease 0.
We wish to send a huge Thank You out to all our members that volunteered their time to clean the theatre this past weekend. We had over 30 volunteers pull up sleeves, get down on knees, and work like bees. (Eesh, sorry about that)
Within 4 hours the theatre was transformed. The stage has been cleared, the entire auditorium mopped, the concession cleaned and the bathrooms scrubbed. And I do mean scrubbed. I lost a bet – those toilets are white after all! Now we can look forward to our guests this Thursday.
From here our next priority is the installation of the seats which were left behind after the demolition by the previous tenant. We have a local professional furniture maker working to fit these seats to the raked (sloped) floor and hope to have them installed in a few weeks. If you are interested in helping with the installation, please let us know!
