Annual General Meeting Information

Mark your calendars!

October 16 at 7 pm is the second Annual General Meeting of the Nelson Civic Theatre Society.

It’s been another busy, busy year at the Civic. We’ve now got 15 months of operating the theatre under our belts and are learning what works, what doesn’t in our community. We have shown films 5 days a week and hosted numerous live events on the other 2 days of the week.

We installed air conditioning, which brought comfort to filmgoers in the summer. And, with any luck, by the time of the AGM we will have a brand new concession.

We’ve had challenges this year and exciting opportunities for the future development of our society and our theatre.

So plan to attend your AGM. We’ll celebrate the year past and give you a glimpse of what the future holds. Then, we’ll provide some refreshments and a free movie.

The AGM agenda will be posted here on October 9, along with a slate of nominees for the 2015 Board of Directors.

Applications to sit on the Board of Directors and Notices of Motion must be submitted by October 3, 2014.
