This Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm is EarthHour - The Civic Theatre will turn off all non-essential power (i.e. everything but the projector!) to help Nelson Hydro see a noticeable drop in energy use across our community.

It’s Oscar time at the Civic Theatre!
Thanks to our friends at Stevens Electronics, we will project a live-streamed satellite broadcast of the 2014 Oscar Awards. We've decided to make it by donation (pay any price) instead of selling regular tickets. Of course, all donations go towards the $30,000.00 goal for our concession upgrades.

With all the glorious upgrades we've made, it's always a shock to see the state of our lobby - we aren't afraid to admit it! It's time to renovate our concession but first we need your help to raise the last $30,000!
The Nelson Hustle has begun!
The Nelson Hustle begins Thurs. Feb 20th and continues through March 6th. 8 Oscar nominated films will be brought to our big screen as part of our concession upgrade fundraiser.
On Saturday, March 1st join us for our Anniversary Gala - Doors (and the bar!) open at 7pm through 12:30am.
All revenues earned during the 2-week Hustle will go towards our well-needed concession upgrade. Please note this will be our only public fundraiser this year - please consider donating to help make your theatre better than ever.
