You may have heard we passed the $100,000 mark of our Community Challenge! Amazing. With just over 1 month to go before our May 1st target if we can sponsor another 190 seats we will have the funds needed to go digital and complete our first round of design work!

The incredible effort by the Nelson Civic Theatre Society to bring cinema back to the Queen City has captured the imagination of the public. It sure gets our pulse racing!

500 Friends, $500 Gift Cards and almost $100,000 raised! What a week!

What a week! We we hit 500 Facebook Likes today, and with 39 days, 6 hours, and 35 minutes to go before our May 1st deadline, we have already raised almost $100,000 for our Community Challenge! Remember, everyone that sponsors a seat (or has already sponsored a seat!) will be entered into a draw to a win a $500 Save On Gift Card! Thanks to Save On for their amazing support.

Advanced Ticket Sales

Due to popular demand, we are pleased to announce advanced tickets for our movies! We considered not offering any advanced tickets without a full system in place, but have decided to listen to the demand and offer a single "online" ticket price - we hope this is better than nothing!

Rick, our intrepid Treasurer, has just told me that since we announced our community challenge on February 22nd, we have raised almost $10,000, bringing the total to $84,140! We are on our way to the $150,000 total but we still have a way to go before May 1. If 660 more of us send in a $100 cheque we will be done!
