We’re keeping it fresh at the Civic. Our Divergent thinking wants Muppets on a bed of Eco Deep Greens in an Indian Lunchbox whilst dining with our Palestinian friend Omar.

Well, the polls are in and Nelson likes its super heroes on-release fresh.  Captain ‘Marica has been thrilling audiences in 7.1 sound all-week and we’re in the works of securing an on-the break opening of another fresh super hero, your friendly neighbourhood Spiderman 2 on May 2.

But if I had to put money on it, I would bet that Nelson also likes its Muppets, which is why over the Easter long, the Civic will be hiding eggs, farm fresh from Gonzo’s main squeeze Camilla the Chicken, throughout the theatre.

And while on the topic of romance, don’t make the mistake of missing the mistaken delivery in Mumbai’s famously efficient and fresh, lunchbox delivery system that connects a young housewife to an older man in the dusk of his life as they build a fantasy world together through notes in The Lunchbox on Thurs. April 24.  Rewind a Thursday to another love story and fresh look at the walls that divide us. Omar a young Palestinian baker has to scale the separation wall to meet with his love Nadja on the other side.  As a freedom fighter by night and after the killing of an Israeli soldier, Omar is tricked into an admission of guilt by association and agrees to become an informant, April. 17.

Keeping things fresh is the aim of Eco-Society’s presentation of Deep Green, April 23rd.  The film highlights a workable mix of sustainable solutions to keep the Earth cool that make both environmental and economic sense—from the technical to the deeply-personal in sustainable agriculture, deep energy efficiency, and green building combined with renewable energies in regional smart grids.  Los Angles Times calls Deep Green a template for getting off fossil fuels.

Yo G. you are much correct, those are some fresh flicks going on at the Civic! Yea homie, It would be dope if they could spin some mid 80’s hip hop pre-show.  You’ll have to show up early to find out.
