Following up Wiener Dog, The crazy team behind This is the End, Pineapple Express, Superbad and The Interview, brings you a far-out animated adventure, that is definitely not for the kids. You will never be able to eat a hot dog again with such blissful abandon after you see this. Sausage Party (18A) opens Aug 26 and plays until the 30th.

This week’s doc Wednesday must be seen to believe. Tickled had me at topic of competitive endurance tickling, but once you add in a secret cyber bullying extortion racket, this look into an absurd sport reveals a dark “ticklish” underbelly.

And last up for the week, our Thusday offering, The Daughter (14A) follows a man who returns home to discover a long-buried family secret, and whose attempts to put things right threaten the lives of those he left home years before.
