Straight Outta Nelson.

Another eclectic week of cinematic offerings from the ‘hood. I distinctly remember blasting NWA’s game changer outta my dad’s ’86 Ford Taurus – listen to that Ford stock bass!

Staight outta Nelson, crazy little theatre called The Civic
with more than Hollywood, you don’t want to miss it.
So here’s the rub, after your morning tub
back to school Member Monday, we got The Breakfast Club.
John Hughes, boy, here to direct
30-years later, I have to still give respect.
defining youth culture, that’s how he’s going out
breaking social barriers, that’s how its rolling out.
A must see, for members it’s free

The activist in him reawakens for a session
re-opening the dance hall that caused his deportation
bringing his people from their poverty to some elation
get transported by the stories and the foray
